Whoever looks for a Dakota software download usually already has the instrument in hand and a concrete problem to solve: transferring readings to the computer, redoing a lost setup, preparing a report for the client. The difficulty is not finding the file, it is understanding which of the programs is needed, because the names do not say so.
The useful distinction is this: DakView 4 moves data and configurations between instrument and PC, DakMaster™ analyses them and produces the document to be delivered. The first is a service tool, the second is the software you work on the result with. Many customers use both, each for its own task.

The files are hosted in the manufacturer’s download area, not on this site: this way you always download the current version and not a copy frozen in time. Compatibility with the instrument
Two conditions apply to all data management software:
- The instrument must have the data logger. In the Dakota catalogue the models fitted with it are recognisable by the DL suffix: without storage there are no readings to transfer.
- The wireless apps require a ZX or PZX instrument with the optional BT wireless module installed, and an Android device.
The manufacturer does not publish detailed system requirements for the PC software. If you have doubts about your workstation, write to us stating the operating system and the instrument model.
How to obtain the files
The software and applications are made available by the manufacturer in its own download area. If you prefer, we can direct you to the correct file for your instrument and assist you with installation: it is the quickest way to avoid downloading the wrong version.
