The Dakota NDT software completes the ultrasonic instruments: it transfers readings to the computer, analyses them, generates the inspection report and controls the continuous monitoring instruments. All of it is distributed free of charge by the manufacturer.
- ✓ DakMaster™ — analysis, statistics and inspection report
- ✓ DakView 4 — data and setup file transfer, Windows and macOS
- ✓ MultiUI — configuration and readout of the MultiMax
- ✓ Wireless apps — instrument control from Android
- ✓ Compatible with models fitted with a data logger
- ✓ Free downloads, RODER assistance with installation
The measurement does not end when the instrument shows the value. That is when the work that decides whether the campaign will be useful begins: getting the readings onto the computer, keeping them tied to the point and the date, comparing them with those of six months ago, and finally putting them into a document that someone else will have to read and sign.
The four software packages in this section cover that path, and they do not overlap: each one solves a different problem. The table below shows the shortest route to what you actually need.
The available software
Analysis and reporting
DakMaster™ — Data management and reporting
This is the end user’s software: it imports readings via Bluetooth® or USB, organises them by project and inspection type, analyses them with histograms and statistics and generates the report from customised templates, exportable to Excel, CSV or PDF. Free download.
- Import of readings via Bluetooth® or USB
- A single interface for Dakota thickness gauges and flaw detectors
- Storage by project and inspection type; analysis with histograms, statistics and charts
- Reports from customised templates: print, PDF and email
- Export to Excel, CSV and TXT; multi-site access via the cloud
Data transfer and setup
DakView 4 — Data and setup file transfer
This is the service tool: it transfers data bidirectionally between instrument and computer and manages customised configuration files. It is the only Dakota software also available for macOS, free of charge and with future updates included.
- Bidirectional data transfer between instrument and PC
- Creation and upload of customised setup files
- Available for Windows PC and macOS
- Compatible with models fitted with a data logger
- CX, ZX, MX, CMX, PZX, PCX and PMX series and FX70/FX80 flaw detectors
MultiMax interface
MultiUI — Interface for the Dakota MultiMax
Interface software for Windows dedicated to the Dakota MultiMax: it configures its channels and manages several stacked modules. The MultiMax has no keypad, so MultiUI is its only control interface.
- The only control interface of the MultiMax, which has no keypad
- Configuration of the measurement parameters for each bolt
- Management of the 4 multiplexed channels of a single module
- Management of several stacked modules to increase the channel count
- Direct USB-C connection, Windows platform
Mobile control
Dakota wireless apps
Three applications for controlling the instrument from a mobile device, compatible with the ZX and PZX models fitted with the optional BT wireless module. Available for Android only: there is no iOS version.
- Full control of the instrument from the mobile device
- Reading measurements remotely, without seeing the display
- Compatible with the ZX and PZX series
- Require the optional BT wireless module on the instrument
- Android only: there is no iOS version
